How far is the beach?
A: A short golf cart ride away to The
Crab Trap.
Q: How do we get to the beach?
A: We provide a
street legal golf cart for your needs with a separate golf cart contract.
You will be required to provide auto insurance information for each driver (all
drivers must be over 18), a copy of each driver's license, and an additional $350
security deposit. The renter that signs the rental contract agreement will
be held responsible for compiling and providing this information. Please
let us know in advance if you wish to contract the use of the street legal golf
cart. This golf cart is considered an automobile under Florida law.
If you choose
not to use the golf cart, there is a short walk to the beach with
an underground tunnel provided by Destiny East that eliminates that need
for crossing our scenic beach road. Once you get to the beach,
there is a beach walkway to the
public beach at The Crab Trap.
If you choose to
drive your automobile, there is free public parking at The Crab Trap.
Q:
Is the beach public or private?
A: The beach is a public beach shared
with home owners of Destiny East, Destiny West, and the public. You will have two beach set ups close to the water
during season by Florida Beach Chairs that will dictate where you should set up
on the beach.

many beach set ups come with this house. Can we purchase
additional and
how?
A:
You will have
two (2) complimentary beach set ups close to the water
during season by Florida Beach Chairs that will dictate where you should set up
on the beach.

Q:
Are sleeper sofas comfortable for
adults?
A: No. We recommend them for small
children only! This home has 4 sleeper sofas.
Q: Does this house have a pool?
A: Yes. A large 16' x 32' pool with
separate spa. The spa will not be heated above 85 during the summer
months. The pool and hot tub cannot be heated separately.
Q:
Is the pool heated?
A:
Pool and spa will be heated for an
additional fee of $300/week or $60/day
during March through December or $400/week or $70/day during January and
February. Spa cannot be heated separate from
pool, and will not be heated above 85 degrees. No
refund of pool heating fees will be refunded if the outdoor temperature and
atmospheric conditions prevent the pools from reaching desired water
temperatures. Please keep in mind that pools are not hot tubs and are much
more difficult to heat and may not maintain the level of heat that you desire.
Pool covers for maintaining heat
are not provided.
Q: Do we have to share the pool with
other households?
A: No. However, there is a
community pool and hot tub in the neighborhood also.
Q:
How many vehicles can we park?
A: (8) Eight. There are no overflow
parking spots. No RV's, boats, jet ski, etc. allowed. There is no parking
on the street at night. Violators will be fined and/or towed at automobile
owners expense. If automobile owner does not pay the fine direct to the
Destiny East Home Owner's Association or local authority, and Carter Beach
Properties is held responsible for the fine, there will be a $50 processing fee
added plus sales tax.
Q:
How many TV's are there?
A: There is 10. A 50" HDTV flat screen
and a 36" flat screen in the 1st floor
sports bar. A 50" HDTV flat screen in the 2nd floor living room and a 19"
flat screen in the kitchen. A 42" flat screen in the master and a 15" in
the master bathroom. There will be 22" in the other bedrooms with the
exception of the trundle room. It will be a 19". There is
surround sound.
Q: What do we have to do to hold for the
week that we want?
A: A 25% refundable security deposit is paid by credit card.
Q: Do you offer travel
insurance?
A: No. Our
contract covers our refund policy for hurricanes and most individuals find
that sufficient. However, we do offer an
easy link to
several premier travel insurance companies if you feel that it is your best
interest to have travel insurance.
Q: When is balance of rent and Sales Tax
due?
A: 30 days prior to check in.
Q: Where do we send a rent check, and how
do we make it out?

Q: How old do you have to be to rent this
property?
A:
25 years of age.
This property does not accept chaperoned youth groups. Families only,
