This Rental Agreement
is specific for dog friendly rentals. It
explains some of our terms and conditions more specifically to ensure
there are no misunderstandings.
Not all properties in the Carter Beach Property program are pet
friendly.
Please make sure that the property you have reserved has a dog friendly
policy. If a property
is advertised as
"no pets allowed", you must abide by these rules. If not, you will be
asked to leave immediately, and you will not receive a refund of your
balance in rent or your security deposit.
We are pet friendly for dogs under 25 pounds.
No cats, birds, large dogs, or other pets are allowed. All pet
owners must advise us at the time of rental that you are bringing a dog
(or dogs - maximum 2 small dogs), and provide a description of your dog (s).
If at any point in time during your stay it is determined that you have
a dog (s) on the premises, and it has not been approved in advance, you
are subject to eviction. If you are evicted, you will not receive
a refund of the balance of the rent and your security deposit.
There will be a $150 non-refundable pet fee + taxes (maximum 2 small dogs
per property).
All pets must be approved in advance
and all our guidelines must be met.
As soon as you get to the property, we recommend you cover any
furniture and beds that your dog(s) will be lying on with sheets brought
from home. Leave the television or radio on for background noise
whenever your pet is left on his own, and be prepared to change your
plans if your dog barks incessantly while you are gone.
Owners must abide by local leash laws. All dogs must be on a
leash when outside. Carter Beach Properties will be held harmless
if at any time during your stay your dog is not on a leash and is
injured or injures a third party.
Dog owners are responsible for picking up their
debris/waste after each use. All pet owners are subject to a fine
by the City of Destin, Okaloosa County, or Walton County if their dog
debris/waste is not picked up. Plus, if dog debris/waste is left
behind after you have vacated the property, signs of destruction of the
outside as well as the inside of a property, your security deposit will
not be refunded. If the destruction exceeds the amount of the
security deposit, your credit card on file will be charged the assessed
amount. You will be provided photos and documentation of any
assessed charges.
Dogs are illegal on the beach. All pet
owners are subject to a fine by the City of Destin, Okaloosa County, or
Walton County if they walk their dogs on the beach.
Some local developments do not allow dogs in their
common areas. At the time of check-in, please question and understand the rules pertaining
to the property you have selected. You will be asked to abide by
their rules. Failure to do so are grounds for eviction.
If you are evicted, you will not receive a refund of the balance of the
rent and your security deposit.
